History Walk

We have looked at our village twice lately. We were looking at older buildings, including the old school built in the 1860s - now the community centre. Our school was built in 1982 so it is 41 years old.

We also visited the graveyard. We saw graves of older people, young people, babies, relatives and also a memorial to those who died in the War of Independence.

We met John Brennan on our way back and he told us the first burial was in January 1957. It snowed that day so the priest from Tubbercurry called it Our Lady of Snow graveyard.
