Communication Through the Ages - 3rd Class

In 3rd class history we have been learning about changes in the way people communicate with each other. There have been lots of changes from cave paintings to writing, smoke signals to semaphore and Morse code to modern phones and emails. The first radio station in Ireland was called 2RN. It came on air on New Year’s Day 1926. The old radios were huge! During war times pigeons were very useful to carry messages. They only stopped using telegrams in 2013 in India.
