History of Our School

Dúchas and Our Four Schools

The Folklore Commission collected thousands of stories from pupils of national schools during 1,938 and 1939. These stories were presented in the actual handwriting of the pupils. At the time there were four schools which came together to form St. Michael's in Cloonacool. We present some of the stories on Duchas here from these four schools and provide links to all the others. We hope you enjoy them.

Current St Michael's consists of four amalgamated schools.
